Purpose of this policy

This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it's used when you use Monti. Please read carefully before using the app.

Changes

We may update this policy. If we do, we'll notify you in the app or by email.

What we collect

Information you give us:

• Your name and email address (when you register or sign in).
• Login details via Google or Apple Sign In (name and email provided by those services).
• Links, URLs, and content you save in Monti.
• Categories and notes you add to saved content.
• Feedback, survey responses, or customer support messages.

Information we collect automatically:

• Device details (model, OS, app version).
• Usage data (features used, session length, interactions).
• IP address, timestamps, and crash logs.

Information from others:

• Name and email from Google or Apple when you choose to sign in with those providers.
• Payment information from Apple when you purchase a subscription.

Why we collect it

• To create and manage your account.
• To store and sync your saved content across devices.
• To provide AI-powered content categorization.
• To send notifications and account-related emails.
• For security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
• To improve the app based on usage patterns.
• With your consent, for optional marketing.

We do not use your saved content to train AI models.

How long we keep your data

• Your account and saved content are deleted when you delete your account.
• Analytics data may be retained for up to 36 months.
• Subscription and billing records may be kept longer to meet legal obligations.
• Support correspondence is kept for up to 2 years.

Who we share with

• Service providers (hosting, AI processing, analytics, customer support).
• Apple for payments and subscriptions.
• Google and Apple if you use their sign-in services.
• Regulators or law enforcement, where required.
• Potential buyers in case of a business transfer.

International transfers

We are based in Poland. Some data may be processed in other countries (e.g., the US) by our service providers. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is handled securely wherever it is processed.

Your rights

You may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data. You can delete your account at any time from the app settings. For other requests, contact support@monti-app.com. We'll respond within 30 days.

Analytics & tracking

We use analytics tools (such as Firebase or similar services) to understand how users interact with Monti. This helps us fix bugs and improve the app. Analytics data is anonymized where possible and is not used to identify you personally.

App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

On iOS, we will ask for your permission before tracking your activity across other apps and websites. This is required by Apple's App Tracking Transparency policy. You can:

• Allow tracking — this helps us understand how users find and use Monti.
• Decline tracking — the app will work fully without it. We will only collect data directly related to your use of Monti.

You can change your choice at any time in your iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

Security

We store your data on secure servers and use encrypted transmission (TLS). While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no system is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

Children

Monti is not directed at children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will deactivate their account and delete their data promptly. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from children under 18, please contact us at support@monti-app.com.
